TRACY AMBLER
I know both how hard it can be and how important it is to find a healthy work-life balance and time to nourish yourself inside and out. My personal mantra is “stop, breathe, reassess”.
I am forever grateful for the ancient practices of Yoga and Ayurveda that have given me the strength and wisdom to restore balance, renew my energy and calm my mind. I’ve been teaching group and private yoga classes for the last ten years and more recently started incorporating Ayurveda lifestyle practices into my offerings. It is my dharma to share the wonderful experience of Yoga and wisdom of Ayurveda with people like you, through my teaching and wellness coaching. If you’re keen to move your body, connect to your breath and live a life in balance, then I’d love to meet you.
I first tried yoga in my twenties when my Pilates instructor was away, and a substitute Yoga teacher took the class. I was surprised how good I felt after that class. Something clicked but I wasn’t sure what. So, I started going to both Pilates and Yoga classes regularly. Overtime I started to feel stronger, healthier and had more energy. Then life started to get busier, work more stressful and life demands ever increasing. My practice started to suffer as I found it harder to make the time to attend classes. I tried to practice at home but was often distracted and overwhelmed by what needed to be done at home. I was so busy working and raising my family, keeping them happy and healthy, that I started putting my own needs last.
Everyday seemed like a race and it was almost like I forgot how to breathe. I felt like I was sinking quickly and that’s when I decided to make some major changes including making Yoga part of my everyday life. Yoga gave me the opportunity to focus on what I’d been neglecting, myself! Yoga taught me that I was worthy of self-care and by dedicating some time to myself to move my body and connect to my breath, I also became a better person. After a few years of maintaining a regular practice, I signed up for a Yoga Teacher Training keen to learn more and dive deeper into my practice.
My yoga classes are designed to build strength, flexibility, and balance with an emphasis on correct alignment and connection to the breath. I provide modifications to poses so as you can learn what works best in your body. I have a home studio space which has become my sanctuary and the platform from which I share my online yoga classes. I feel strongly about serving the community and teach two community classes a week in the local area. Anywhere I can lay my mat, I can practice yoga, but I love practicing yoga outdoors as I feel it gives you a wonderful opportunity to connect to the sky above you, the earth beneath you and the breath within you. If this sounds like something that aligns with you, I invite you to join to one of my classes and try it for yourself.
I was first introduced to Ayurveda in my Yoga Teacher Training. The information was completely new to me. Although I knew that certain foods didn’t agree with me, or made me tired and lethargic, I didn’t know why. I had read about different body types, but not mind-body types known as the doshas. I had never made the connection between the cycles of nature, circadian rhythms, and my lifestyle patterns. Incorporating Ayurvedic daily routines seemed a natural progression from my yoga practice, and I had a hunger for more ancient healing wisdom. I began further study and exploration into Ayurveda and re-engineered my lifestyle to be more in sync with my body’s needs. The more I understood how effective this is, the more I feel compelled to share this knowledge with others. I believe that Yoga and Ayurveda are the tools to live a long and healthy life. As health is the state of complete harmony of body, mind, and spirit. If you’d like to learn more, I invite you to book your free discovery call. It will be the first step on your amazing journey.
